Alien Charged with Shootings

In our previous post we noted that the Biden administration has dropped its deportation cases against several hundred thousand illegal aliens. One of them was Bernardo Castro Mata from Venezuela. Last month, an immigration judge in Chicago closed his case. He later moved to the New York City area.

Yesterday, Mata was accused of shooting policemen, one in the chest and the other in the leg, when they tried to detain him in Queens. Commenting on this case, former ICE chief staff Jon Feere observed that “This is just the latest example proving that the government does not have the capacity to adequately vet large numbers of people randomly pouring across our borders.”
