Illegal alien advocates in California are taking to the streets to demand that ICE release illegal aliens from detention because of alleged danger to them from the coronavirus. These demonstrators have congregated in defiance of the state’s shelter-in-place orders for slowing the spread of the disease. One of their chants is “Hey hey, ho ho, racist ICE has got to go.”
Meanwhile in Washington, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus is calling for an end to detention in most cases, saying that “thousands” of the detainees must be let go. Media pundits never suggest that a Hispanic Caucus might be racist.
