The Trump Administration says that its policy to require asylum applicants to stay in Mexico has helped secure the border and reduce asylum fraud. The number of illegal alien families caught at the border as declined 80 percent from the record high in May. Before the policy went into effect, fraudulent asylum seekers often were released into to U.S. Because they now must wait in Mexico for processing, many of these bogus applicants have decided that the trouble wasn’t worth and headed home.
