In August, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) asked the city of Richmond, Virginia for custody of an illegal alien it was holding in jail. The subject was a pedophile with multiple convictions in the state of Virginia. Richmond, a sanctuary for illegal aliens, refused the request from ICE and later released this predator into the community. Fortunately, ICE apprehended him last week.
Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary of Homeland Security, commented on this case: “To allow a convicted pedophile, registered sex offender, illegal alien to freely roam Virginia streets is barbaric. It is unconscionable to think sanctuary policies and political activists would rather protect this sicko than our own nation’s children. Every sanctuary politician in Virginia is putting the safety of Americans at risk with their dangerous and lawless policies.”
