Trump: Don’t End Up Like Europe

Attention to Europe these days has concentrated on Ukraine, Zelensky, Putin, etc, but there is a Europe-related topic much more important to America’s future. President Trump pointed it out in a Truth Social post yesterday:

We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country – So that we don’t end up like Europe!

The new administration has made progress in avoiding Europe’s fate in the brief time it has been in existence. The Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Michael W. Banks, on Sunday posted results from February showing that apprehensions of illegal border crossers in February set a record low. He wrote on X:

February proved our combined efforts in securing the border WORK. USBP apprehended 8,326 illegal aliens at the U.S.-Mexico border, making it the lowest month in recorded history.

Meanwhile, things in Europe were getting worse. During February, Britain saw some of the highest illegal entries by boat in its history. On Sunday alone, 592 illegals landed on Britain’s shores. And on Monday the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) reported that 1,014,420 asylum requests had been made last year, a large number from migrants who had entered Europe illegally. Over the past decade, the influx of millions of foreigners, mostly from the Middle East and Africa, into Europe has coincided with rising levels of crime and increasingly regular terror attacks in countries like France and Germany.

Last month, Vice President JD Vance warned the Munich Security Conference that mass migration represented the most urgent threat to Europe, dwarfing any threat from Putin and Russia. Vance told his increasingly uncomfortable audience:

And of all the pressing challenges that the nations represented here face, I believe there is nothing more urgent than mass migration. Today, almost one in five people living in this country moved here from abroad. That is, of course, an all time high. It’s a similar number, by the way, in the United States, also an all time high. The number of immigrants who entered the EU from non-EU countries doubled between 2021 and 2022 alone. And of course, it’s gotten much higher since.
