Illegal alien advocacy organizations have vowed to do all they can to prevent the in-coming Trump Administration from enforcing our country’s immigration laws. A spokeswoman for the far-left American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Maribel Hernández Rivera, said that “We’ve been preparing — we have the legal tools, we have the advocacy tools and, more importantly, we have people [to stop Trump’s initiatives].”
Murad Awadh, of the New York Immigration Coalition, declared that “[We] already survived one Trump administration, and we believe that we are preparing ourselves to do it yet again. . . . This time I feel that we are better prepared and know what to expect and are ready to fight his racist deportation agenda with our members and allies.”
To advocates like Awadh, it seems, illegal immigrants are a race rather than a legal category of lawbreakers who can be of any race.
