Not long ago, we reported on a caravan of about 3,000 migrants moving toward our border in apparent hope of entering the United States illegally. News of President-elect Trump’s victory evidently has weakened their resolve to continue. According to an official from Mexico’s National Migration Institute, the size of the caravan dwindled by half when Trump’s victory became known.
One of the discouraged migrants from Venezuela stated: “I had hoped [Vice President Kamala Harris] would win, but that didn’t happen.”
