Pre-Election, Migrants Surge

The New York Post reported yesterday that the southern border is seeing a dramatic increase in illegal traffic in advance of next week’s election, with illegal migrants either anticipating an end to the Biden-Harris open door or else — should Harris win — the final removal of the door, inviting an unprecedented and unstoppable mass incursion.

In Maverick County, Texas, home of Eagle Pass, the Times says 300 illegals are crossing on average every day, double the traffic of just a few weeks back.

Among those groups are many migrants of “special interest,” hailing from such dubious countries as Iran, Angola, Guinea, and Pakistan.

One Border Patrol source told the Times, “Everyone wants to get in in case Trump gets elected.”

Another agreed, saying, “[T]hey know Trump is about to get elected.”

Another, contrary explanation suggested by one source is that the current migrants believe a Harris election would ignite a virtual explosion of illegal traffic, perhaps numbering in the millions, and they don’t want to be caught up amid the surging masses.

Either way, take note.
