Tom Homan is promoting a video, to be shown at townhalls around the country, to refute the reinvention of Vice President Kamala Harris as a foe of illegal immigration. Homan is the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
One of the vice president’s recent political ads recently claimed that “Fixing the border is tough, so is Kamala Harris.” The video shows has clips of past statements by Harris revealing anything but toughness.
She proclaimed that illegal aliens are not criminals, and that we should not even use the term illegal alien to describe them. She endorsed the policy of sanctuary, which prevents local authorities from cooperating with ICE to arrest and deport illegals. She compared ICE to the Ku Klux Klan, and said it must be rebuilt “from scratch.” Harris said she would end the policy of detaining illegal aliens, thus allowing them to roam freely around our country.
After serving in an administration which oversaw record increases in illegal immigration, Harris stated, “We have a secure border. The border is secure.”
