Zachary Apotheker joined the Border Patrol in 2020 with the hope of working to make our border more secure. What he has experienced under the Biden Administration is been something else entirely.
Rather than stopping drug traffickers and illegal aliens, Border Patrol agents commonly have been assigned processing illegal migrants into the United States. He said the Border Patrol has been transformed into a “migrant concierge service.” He added that “I don’t want to bring people into the country. That’s not what I signed up to do.”
Kamala Harris has tried to reinvent herself as a supporter of border control by citing her support for legislation to increase the number of Border Patrol agents. Left unsaid is the reality that more agents will not contribute to border security if they can’t do the jobs they were hired to do.
