Immigration Transforming Dixie

The Center for Immigration Studies has released an analysis by Dr. Steven Camarota, CIS Director of Research, revealing that “Mass immigration, both illegal and legal, is dramatically ‘reshaping the American South.'”

Camarota writes, “Immigration policy is reshaping the American South more than any other part of the country.”  The foreign-born population of the US is an unprecedented 51.6 million. Of that total, the Southern states have the largest share, at 19 million, followed by the West with about 16 million, the Northeast with 10.3 million, and the Midwest with 5.7 million. All told, the South accounts for 37.3 percent of the total foreign-born population in the entire country.

Some southern states have been impacted more than than others, especially Texas and Florida, but Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia each have at least a million foreign-born residents also.

Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia on the other hand have been much less affected, with each having foreign-born populations of less than five percent of the total.

Although the leftist cabal ruling us enthusiastically denies any thoughts of any intentional replacement, it must be just their good fortune that their policies are rapidly nullifying the electoral power of the nation’s traditionally most conservative region. What luck.
