Biden Rewards Long-Time Scofflaws with Executive Amnesty

The Biden administration is plotting to grant amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who’ve managed to dodge La Migra for at least a decade (not so hard as it sounds).

The policy in mind, known as “Parole in Place,” would provide work permits and deportation protections to illegal aliens who have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years and are married to US citizens. CBS News is reporting that the program may be announced as early as tomorrow, when an event celebrating the 12th anniversary of the DREAM Act is scheduled at the White House. (That law, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA], protects from deportation 530,000 illegals brought to America as minors but who may now be middle-aged.)

In keeping with Biden’s practice of mimicking his mentor, Parole in Place would be the largest immigration program for illegal migrants since Obama’s DACA. Since all actions taken by this White House are for political reasons, CBS says:

Political analysts also believe the “Parole in Place” policy could help Mr. Biden’s chances of earning more support from Latino voters, especially those in mixed-status families that would benefit from the move.

Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are voicing opposition. Sen. James Lankford (R-OK): “Biden’s border is still in crisis and his latest idea is amnesty. This will invite more chaos.”

But then, isn’t chaos the name of the game?
