Germans Sour on Mass Immigration

A poll by the Nius Media Group found strong opposition to mass immigration in Germany. Fifty-two percent of respondents endorsed the statement that “Germany should generally no longer accept refugees from Islamic countries.” Thirty-four percent disagreed.

Fifty-four percent said they were “afraid that Germans will become a minority in Germany.” Thirty-seven percent said they did not share this concern. Forty-five percent agreed with the statement that “Europeans are gradually being replaced by immigrants from Africa and the Middle East.” Forty-one percent disagreed.

The Alternative for Deutschland (AfD), the second most popular political party in Germany, is the only one that takes a strong stand against mass immigration. The political elites of Germany are trying to outlaw the AfD because they claim it’s a threat to democracy.
