Avideh Moussavian serves as chief of the Office of Policy and Strategy for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). She has an interesting background for this high position dealing with immigration in the Biden Administration.
In 2018 she tweeted a call for the abolishment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the agency that deports illegal aliens from the interior of the U.S. She accused ICE of “misleading the public and making our workplaces less safe.” A year later Moussavian tweeted that Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the agency that administers the Border Patrol, should be defunded. She also opposes the detention of illegal aliens for the sake of promoting “immigrants’ rights.”
