The U.S. Border Patrol and Texas law enforcement are working at cross purposes on the border. Under orders from the Biden Administration, the Border Patrol is tasked with admitting illegal aliens with bogus asylum claims and processing them for release into our interior. Many Border Patrol agents don’t like carrying out this task, but they must do so to keep their jobs.
At the same time Texas law enforcement agencies, directed by Gov. Gregg Abbott, are trying to turn away illegal aliens at the border. One means of of dong so is erecting barriers to prevent their entry. On a number of occasions, the Border Patrol has removed these obstacles to allow the aliens to enter.
A Texas highway Patrol officer summed up the situation as follows: “It seems that [U.S. Border Patrol is] letting [migrants] in and we’re doing our part in order to keep them out.”
