FAIR: Biden Playing Shell Game with Numbers

Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), issued a press release yesterday regarding the actual number of illegal migrants trying to enter the United States during the month of May versus the Biden admin’s numbers.

According to Stein, the border crisis is not getting any better, despite the administration’s claims. In fact, the number of people who were encountered by border officials in May was almost the same as in April, with only a tiny drop of 0.7 percent. That means that more than 270,000 people tried to enter the country illegally or without proper documentation in one month alone. And that’s not counting the ones who got away or who were released into the interior.

Stein says the administration is playing a shell game with the numbers, trying to hide the true extent of the problem by focusing only on one segment of the border. They ignore the fact that there are also thousands of people who are coming through ports of entry, or who are being paroled in for humanitarian reasons, or who are crossing from Canada. These are not legal pathways, as the administration claims, but loopholes and abuses of authority that allow more and more people to bypass our immigration laws.

This mass illegal immigration is harming our national interests and security, as well as our economy, environment, and rule of law. But, then, that’s the Biden plan, in a nutshell.
