What Kind of Refugees Are These?

A refugee is supposedly someone who flees a country because of war or persecution. Sweden is a heading haven for refugees in Europe. A recent poll conducted for the Swedish online newspaper Bulletin uncovered an interesting fact about a majority of that country’s refugees: 79 percent have voluntarily returned to their homelands for visits since moving to Sweden.

Evidently, it wasn’t fear of persecution or anything else that prompted their exit. Indeed, 81 percent of non-European refugees admitted to the pollster that they moved to Sweden because it was a better place to live and raise their children.
