Coming on the heels of the announcement that in December, the U.S. deliberately admitted nearly 100,000 illegals and estimates that at least 50,000 more crossed over scot free, Fox News has posted a series of videos showing a mass release of adult males in Brownsville, Texas, occurring January 23.
Such releases are not supposed to take place, as adult males are technically required to be sent directly back to Mexico under still-existing CDC Title 42 protocols. The government claims in fact to have returned under Title 42 nearly 80,000 in December, resulting in the net admission of 100K (at least 180K were actually encountered). However, videos published by Fox News Bill Melungin show dozens of illegals being offloaded from ICE buses at a Brownsville parking garage, then picked up by a fleet of taxis and transported to the local airport for travel throughout the U.S.
Melugin says he followed the taxis to the airport and spoke with a number of the illegals prior to their boarding. Several said they had crossed the border illegally just that morning and were flying to destinations including Miami, Houston, and Atlanta.
With such releases, the U.S. government is defying not only the individual states involved but also its own laws, as laid down by the CDC. As we have seen in the case of the nighttime flights into obscure airports, it is attempting, as criminals do, to operate surreptitiously under cover of darkness and unseen behind opaque barriers. We hear so often about illegals “living in the shadows,” but it’s not the migrants who live in the shadows. It’s our own government.
