600K Venezuelans Temporary After All?

Could it be that, after becoming no more than the punchline to a joke, the so-called “Temporary Protected Status” favored by the pro-migrant camp and almost unwaiveringly renewed at every opportunity, could actually be temporary after all?

Just before leaving office, Joe Biden and his DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas extended TPS designations — each for 18 additional months — for 1,900 Sudanese illegals; 103,700 Ukrainian illegals; 232,000 Salvadoran illegals; and fully 600,000 Venezuelan illegals.

Now, newly confirmed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced today that she has issued an order repealing that order as it pertains to Venezuelans. Noem declared:

We signed an executive order within the Department of Homeland Security that we are not going to follow through on what they did to tie our hands. [It allows agents to] evaluate all these individuals that are in our country, including the Venezuelans that are here and the members of TDA (Tren de Aragua).
