2,000 FBI Agents to Assist ICE

Forty-five percent of all active FBI agents are being reassigned to immigration enforcement assisting ICE, according to a series of memos issued last week by Bureau officials. One memo read:

As you know, we have been actively engaged in immigration enforcement efforts in coordination with our DOJ and DHS partners. Starting this week, we will need to see an increase in operational tempo in your immigration efforts. DOJ expects a significant increase in the number of agents participating in immigration enforcement operations.

Other agencies are being brought in to the effort as well. In February, Kristi Noem announced that employees of the IRS would be asked to assist, and US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of State (DOS), and the Department of Justice (DOJ) are already involved. In addition, at least 450 state and local police agencies across the country have agreed to assist ICE in its efforts.

The arrest and deportation of millions of illegals will require a herculean effort, and in spite of obstinate denials of assistance by blue sanctuaries, the Trump administration is pulling out the stops to get it done.
