Not surprisingly, the uber-left state of California has been in recent years notorious for granting commercial driver’s licenses to unqualified aliens. Last month, the Department of Transportation (DOT) revealed that the California Department of Motor Vehicles had admitted to illegally issuing a staggering 17,000 of such licenses to foreign truck drivers.
Now, 101 of those illegally licensed drivers have been arrested by ICE and had their licenses seized. According to the November announcement, all of the 17,000 have been sent notices declaring that their licenses no longer meet federal requirements and will expire in 60 days. Currently, $40 million in federal aid is being withheld from California as a result of its failure to enforce national standards.
