Conservative firebrand Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) revealed on Saturday that Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and other House GOP leaders have no intention of really fighting Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty edict. She revealed that at the weekly Conference meeting of GOP members held right before Obama’s announcement, Boehner told his colleagues: “…the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing.”
Bachmann, who is retiring this year, says she is stunned by the GOP leadership’s refusal to fight or have a unified plan to resist Obama’s power grab. She says she would concentrate on Obama’s plan to grant millions of work permits to illegal aliens, calling it an “illegal action” that provides a winning argument against his edict.
Bachmann, in true Tea Party fashion, will be holding a rally at noon on Wednesday, Dec.3 on the capitol steps to protest Obama’s amnesty edict.
