President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security has revealed important facts about current immigration in its first quarterly report. This information was largely hidden by the Obama administration. That is the good news. The bad news is that the report shows a continuing flood of immigrants and temporary foreign workers.
Reporter Neil Munro of Breitbart News posted an excellent summary of the report Wednesday. Legal immigrants are being admitted at the rate of 1.1 million every year. Around 800,000 temporary foreign workers are being allowed in every year. Most of the legal immigrants being admitted have low skills and are allowed in because of family ties.
Munro concluded his report on this massive alien in-flow with comments on its effects:
“This flood of foreign labor spikes profits and stock values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. It also drives up real estate prices, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, and sidelines marginalized Americans and their families.”
