John McCain: Illegals Not Going Home, So Give Them U.S Citizenship

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said Wednesday at a Harvard University forum: “They’re not going home. And so why don’t we give them a path to citizenship. There are not enough buses to deport them.” McCain, who has supported amnesty throughout his political career, including voting for amnesty as a House member in 1986, was a member of the “Gang of Eight” who pushed an amnesty bill through the Senate last year. He said he hopes when a mass amnesty law is finally enacted it will be named after the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) who worked with McCain for years to reward illegals with amnesty. Kennedy was the Senate floor leader of the 1965 Immigration Law that shifted immigration into the U.S. from Europe to the Third World.

McCain also repeated his previous prediction that “the Republican Party will never win another nationwide election unless we enact comprehensive immigration reform.”

Given his pathetic losing 2008 campaign against Barack Obama, as well as his status as one of the liberal media’s favorite Republicans, his advice to Republicans should not be taken seriously.
