South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster says he will seek to require cities in his state to prove that they are not sanctuary cities for illegal aliens. The governor said that he was not aware of any cities that are now embrace this status. Nevertheless, he stated, What we are doing here is to make clear that such an announcement will not be accepted. We want people of this state to know that law enforcement is doing its job in South Carolina.” An estimated 85,000 illegal aliens live in the state.
