House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) maintained that Congress is not planning to create a “deportation force” to apprehend and expel illegal aliens, even though President-elect Trump used this term. Ryan apparently is unaware that Congress doesn’t need to create such a force because one already exists. It is called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the federal agency duly authorized to enforce immigration laws. The Obama Administration has consistently sabotaged its ability to do its job, but the president-elect has indicated that he will reverse this policy.
