The decision of the Obama Administration to release illegal aliens held in detention has prompted a strong backlash among members of Congress. A number of them have demanded explanations for this action from Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. So far, Napolitano has not replied. A letter from 37 Republican House members to the secretary stated, “It is frankly irresponsible that your agency chose releasing detained immigrants as its first effort to control spending.”
