Tom Perez, the newly elected Democratic Committee chairman, attacked President Trump on NBC’s Meet the Press charging that Trump’s proposed temporary ban on travel from seven countries is an “ill-advised and frankly racist executive action against Muslims.” Perez seems unaware that the ban did not apply to most Muslim nations, but only to those seven because of their links to terrorism His statement also suggests unawareness that Islam is a religion, not a race.
