Study Shows Negative Impact of Illegal Aliens on U.S. Unemployment

A study by the Center for Immigration Studies found illegal immigration has a significant impact on job opportunites for Americans, particularly those with less education. The study noted that the unemployment figures for Americans with less than a high school education are “huge,” and many illegal aliens are in direct competition with them.

800,000 Ilegals Ordered Deported Still Living in U.S.

The federal government’s system of tracking  immigration status is so broken that it gives a green light to one in eight  aliens who have been ordered deported, according to an audit Tuesday that found  the government has gone on to approve some of  those who slip through for work in sensitive areas of airports and granted them  benefits such as Medicaid or food stamps.

Some of those aliens who should have been kicked out had serious criminal  records, including assault and extortion convictions, according to the audit by  the Homeland  Security Department’s inspector general.

All told, some 800,000 immigrants are living in the U.S. who already have  been ordered deported but have not yet left the country or been removed by the government.

More than 100,000 Illegals Get Amnesty under Obama Edict

A total of 102,965 illegal aliens in the “Dream Act” category have now received legal status under the Obama Administration’s unilateral declaration of amnesty proclaimed last June. Though not given a pathway to citizenship, the amnestied illegal aliens are given work permits, which allows them to compete with unemployed Americans for jobs. The administration will seek legislation next year to grant amnesty and the path to citizenship to most or all of the 11 to 12 million illegal aliens now living in the U.S.

Amnesty Supporters Disagree on Citizenship

Republican and Democrat  amnesty supporters are disagreeing on the issue of citizenship for legalized illegal aliens. Democrats maintain that illegal aliens granted amnesty also should have a pathway to citizenship. But pro-amnesty Republicans say that amnesty should stop short of granting citizenship. They and other Republicans believe that amnesty with citizenship will substantially increase the number of Democrat voters.
