A total of 102,965 illegal aliens in the “Dream Act” category have now received legal status under the Obama Administration’s unilateral declaration of amnesty proclaimed last June. Though not given a pathway to citizenship, the amnestied illegal aliens are given work permits, which allows them to compete with unemployed Americans for jobs. The administration will seek legislation next year to grant amnesty and the path to citizenship to most or all of the 11 to 12 million illegal aliens now living in the U.S.
