Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he was “cautiously optimistic” that the House will pass amnesty for illegal aliens if the Senate does so. McCain, a longtime amnesty supporter, expressed his viewpoint in an interview with Univision, a Spanish-language network. The senator also stated that passage of amnesty would help Republicans get Hispanic votes.
