DOJ: Use ‘Illegal Alien’

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has informed U.S. attorney offices in an agency-wide e-mail that they should to refer to foreigners illegally residing in the United States as illegal aliens, instead of “undocumented” persons. The term “undocumented” has been popularized by illegal alien advocates as a means to suggest that people who violate our immigration laws are not really lawbreakers, but individuals who lack documents. Of course the reason they lack proper documents is because they are here illegally.

The DOJ e-mail noted that  “The word ‘undocumented’ is not based in U.S. code and should not be used to describe someone’s illegal presence in the country.”
