California Democrats said Wednesday that President Obama should use a provision in the Affordable Care Act to allow illegals in the state to obtain insurance from the state health insurance marketplace. “It is truly unconscionable that our country, the richest in the world, does not reflect the fact that health care is a human right, and not a privilege,” said Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA).
Rep.Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) called for enrolling all Californians in comprehensive coverage, “no matter their immigration status.”
